Project Crayons embarked on a mission in 2001, It began as a ‘Small’ initiative for a ‘BIG’ role in creating supporting systems for children and youth. Project Crayons was registered as a public trust in 2002 with the Charity Commission of India in Mumbai. The beginning was simple and with sincere intentions, to create support structures that would help provide tools like education, shelter, food and hope for those children and youth who were unaccounted for and forgotten by society. Mission: Combining the strength of people who felt the strong urge to contribute socially to society, Project Crayons believes that only by collectively working together and getting as many people voluntarily and actively involved, a relevant change and growth in the lives of children can be impacted. The role of Project Crayons is emphasized mainly in the development of HER. To empower the children and rehabilitate them into society, teaching them to build their own space. Our role does not end till they are legally old enough but to guide them always until they get their identity in society. |
