The
model on which the activities of Project Crayons are
carried out are such that over a period of time, the
project becomes a self-sufficient project.
We
now would like to propose to you a project named
“Ghar - home for Tribal Women and Children”.
Brief:
The institution would serve as a home for around 40
needy, street girl children along with proper nutrition
and healthcare. Proper attention would be paid to their
education, which would in due course of time transform
into responsible citizens of the nation. In order to
make the project self sufficient, the tribal women from
Kharodi village at Malad would be provided with skill
training as assembling of artificial jewellery and tailoring
so that the final products of their labor would raise
funds for the up bringing of the needy children. This
project would thus generate employment opportunities
also for the women in the village.

Activities: |

1.
Special Syllabus called Avehi-Abacus would be taught which
imbibes values into them in form of stories.
2. Yoga lessons to keep them fit.
3. Monthly medical and nutrition check up.
4. Special workshops on basic etiquettes i.e., cleanliness,
personal hygiene, etc.
5. Monthly field trips.
6. Skill training in form of art, paintings, drawings,
clay work, embroidery, stitching, etc.
