55%
of urban population in India does not have adequate
housing, one time plain meal so the children’s
under age of 5 suffer from malnutrition.
7.2m of Mumbai’s 12m urban residents are slum
dwellers or homeless & starvation rate is also
increased along illiteracy & poverty leading to
child exploitation and backwardness.
In the midst of unsanitary, squalid conditions, underprivileged
& street children’s are often victims of
abuse and forced to work to support themselves and
their families.
Today an increasing number of children are born and
live in one of the numerous slums spread all over,
trapped in a daily cycle of forced work and physical
and emotional abuse they grow up without experiencing
any part of childhood.
